Are you an IFYR veteran or an ambitious first-timer? Take your IFYR experience to the next level when you apply for special college scholarships from Cinch or to be a 2018 Youth Director!
High school seniors competing at the 2017 International Finals Youth Rodeo are eligible to apply for the Cinch/Cruel Girl academic scholarship! Scholarships of $2,500 will be awarded to one chosen female and one chosen male. The winner must use the scholarship funds toward their first semester at an accredited college. Application materials must be postmarked or emailed by June 1, 2017. The winner will be announced during rodeo week, July 9-14, 2017. Download the scholarship application here!
Ready to take on an IFYR leadership role? Apply to be considered for a 2018 Youth Director! Youth Directors serve as student representatives for all IFYR events, as spokesperson for the IFYR and its sponsors and help recruit contestants from all over the United States.
During rodeo week, the Youth Directors are responsible for hearing protests and requests from fellow contestants and then relay that information to IFYR judges and staff, all while being a contestant first and foremost. They also participate in the grand entry of all performances and carry flags.
To apply, contestants must have just completed freshman, sophomore or junior year of high school. Application, letter of recommendation, photo and introduction must be submitted to the selection committee before 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 11 during rodeo week.
