Top International Finals Youth Rodeo Team Ropers Invited to Junior National Finals Rodeo
The top six team roping teams in the average at the 24th annual International Finals Youth Rodeo have been invited to compete at the Junior National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas Dec. 8-10.
The six IFYR team roping duos invited to compete at the NFR are:
Team No. 1: Laramie Allen of Llano, Texas and Ross Ashford of Lott, Texas
Team No. 2: Kade Smith of Post, Texas and Hayden Cape of Earth, Texas
Team No. 3: Cade Van Soelen of Durango, Colorado and Ryley Beach of Loma, Colorado
Team No. 4: Dakota Felton of Mountain Home, Texas and Winsten McGraw of Greeley, Colorado
Team No. 5: Whit Kitchens of Mullin, Texas and Colton Brittain of Rockwall, Texas
Team No. 6: Dawson Stewart of Erda, Utah and Braydin Evans of Stockton, Utah
“The IFYR attracts the worlds’ best rodeo athletes,” said Chris Dunlap, Assistant Director of the Heart of Oklahoma Exposition Center and International Finals Youth Rodeo. “We are very proud that our competitors came out and gave it their all for a chance at prizes, scholarships and more. The IFYR is the richest youth rodeo in the world, with more than $200,000 in prize money, championship saddles and buckles for contestants to pursue. More than 900 contestants from across the United States, Canada and Australia convened in Shawnee, Oklahoma to compete in 10 events running simultaneously in three arenas throughout the event in July.
The International Finals Youth Rodeo, held annually since 1993, is a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization that presents top high school athletes with a professional rodeo. The internationally-recognized IFYR is held annually at the Heart of Oklahoma Exposition Center in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
The action-packed event includes hundreds of contestants vying to win more than $200,000 in prize money, competing in 10 events running simultaneously in three arenas over six days.
