Stalling information
Reservations for stalling and camping on grounds will open April 1st and close June 15th or when all spaces are filled at OpenStalls.com. Stalls purchased online are non-refundable; however, you can sell your stalls in the stalling office upon your arrival in Shawnee. If you purchase a stall that stall must be for you, please do not purchase a stall for someone else, even a sibling.

Inside and Outside Stalls on Grounds
Before purchasing a stall for your contestants horse, please read the following:
1. ABSOLUTELY NO TACK STALLS are allowed!!!
Stalls are to be purchased ONLY for the contestant’s horse(s). You will NOT be allowed to keep tack or feed in a separate stall. If tack or feed is found in any separate stall, you will be contacted for it to be removed, and forfeit that stall by IFYR!
2. On ground inside and outside stalls are very limited. Stall assignments are made by the date you entered online on a 1st to enter 1st to be assigned basis.
3. Stalls are to be reserved and paid for ONLY under each contestant’s name that their horses will occupy that particular stall(s). Siblings or friends must reserve and pay for their own stalls separately. Each stall is assigned ONLY to the contestant that originally reserved and paid for the stall.
4. If you wish to stall next to someone (sibling, traveling partner, etc.) make sure you list that request in the “Special Requests” box. You will also have another opportunity to make special requests when filling out a form you will receive in an email after your payment on Open Stalls has been processed. Enter contestants name, city & state that you request to stall near. This must be done by both contestants and have to make sure they register at the same time. Stalls WILL NOT be held for contestants that have not registered at the time of the special request, as they are assigned on a first come first serve basis, as the reservation is received and paid for.
5. EVERY HORSE that will be coming on IFYR grounds ANYTIME during the rodeo (including jackpots), MUST be checked in and tagged through the stalling office during the designated check in times, (8am-11pm July 9th, 7am-midnight July 10th, and midnight-noon July 11th, EVEN IF STALLING OFF GROUNDS. Horses not checked in during initial check in times, WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ON IFYR GROUNDS
6. You will receive a follow-up email from Open Stalls confirming your payment has been processed. It will contain a link to an additional form that will gather a small amount of additional information about your horse(s) so that we can best accommodate your stay at IFYR. It will also remind you of the stalling rules and provide additional information for check-in.
Before Check-In:
• Please have PAPER COPIES of all horse papers including Coggins Test, health papers and IFYR horse registration ready IN HAND. You must have these papers to check-in your horse. Copies of your papers will be kept at the Stalling Office during the rodeo. You can download and print the Horse Registration Form below.
• Trailers are not to be parked and left unattended while unloading in the pull-through areas. You are given 30 minutes and after that, security will be called. Trailers will be parked by an attendant in a specific location. Trailers will be towed if illegally parked. Your cooperation will be appreciated if you are asked to move your trailer.
• Only studs can be placed in stud stalls, which are separate from other horses. Horses will be allowed only in the stalling areas and the arena areas. Horses will not be allowed in any of the following areas: RV park, parking lots, tradeshow area, pedestrian areas, streets or sidewalks south of the Grandstand.
Procedures After You Have Checked Your Horses In:
• Stalls will be monitored 24-hours per day during the entire rodeo.
• Trailers will not be allowed to be unloaded (tack, feed, etc.) in the alleyway between barns during check-in.
• After checking horses in, any stalling changes can only be made from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. only by the stalling chairman.
• If a horse is found in the wrong stall, it will be removed by the stalling committee.
• No 3 or 4-wheelers or bikes allowed on grounds.
• Do not wash horses or tack in the barn or in the grass areas outside barns.
• All stalls are pre-sold and pre-assigned. After your horse is checked in and given the assigned stall no one is permitted to move stall locations. No trading, no selling and not notifying the stalling office in writing. If a stall is sold to another contestant it will not be released until we receive the transaction in writing, signed by both parties. This can be sent via e-mail to [email address coming soon].
